Cruz has a new play mat!

It's hard to believe this little guy was so sick!

Cruz is such a good baby, he almost never crys and sleeps all of the time. Of course we know that won't happen forever but he is just like I remember his mommy was as a baby.  I remember wondering if something was wrong with Amanda because she had been down for a nap for a long time and hadn't cried. When I went to check on her she was awake just looking around and happy.  Cruz does the same thing unless he's hungry.  We are blessed.

OUR FAMILY IS COMPLETE!

Cruz came home yesterday morning, he is the best baby.  Visitors included his Grandmother Nelson, Aunt Melanie, Aunt Stephanie and Geoff.  They are still staying with me until they close on their house. On the ride home they stopped by Babies R Us, daddy insisted Cruz have some head support.

I got to hold and feed Cruz last night!!

Last night I went to the NCIU and got to spend an hour with my new grandson while Mom and Dad went home. He is so sweet, he took his bottle, burped and went sound asleep so I rocked him and then put him back in his bed and left him sleeping peacefully. 

CRUZ IS DOING SO GOOD AND LOOK AT THAT RED HAIR!

Amanda left the hospital last night a little sad because she had to leave Cruz at the NCIU for a few more days.  He will hopefully be able to come home on Thursday or Friday.  He is so precious.

CRUZ HAS ARRIVED

CRUZ TIMOTHY NELSON ARRIVED VIA C SECTION ON JULY 14TH AT 10:49AM, HE WEIGHED 9LBS 3OZ , 20 1/2" AND HAS RED HAIR!!  POOR LITTLE GUY HAS MECONIUM ASPIRATION AND HAS BEEN IN THE NCIU. HE IS COMING ALONG PRETTY GOOD, THEY TOOK OUT THE VENTILATOR YESTERDAY AND AMANDA FINALLY GOT TO HOLD HIM. TODAY SHE IS ATTEMPTING TO NURSE HIM. AMANDA WILL LEAVE THE HOSPITAL TODAY BUT WE DON'T KNOW WHEN CRUZ WILL COME HOME. PRAY FOR THE LITTLE GUY!

WILL THIS BABY EVER COME?

Amanda and Jason headed to the hospital at 5:00 am for her to be induced.  On the way the hospital called to say don't come, we don't have any beds!!!  I'm posting what we thought was going to be her last pregnant photo.

Where is baby Cruz!!!?

Yesterday Amanda went to the doctor and found she was dialated to 4cm and 80% effaced. Dr. Tackett stripped her membranes again and said this babies birthday will be July 8th. We are waiting!! It's 10:20am and nothing yet. We ate at one of my favorite places last night, Henry's in Acworth. Henry even told her the first drink was on him!! I took a picture of them outside of the restaurant thinking it could be her last meal before Cruz was born.
